One of my passions is curating art going back hundreds of years. I love that these postcards offer an inexpensive option for people to frame and enjoy.

In the Eighteenth Century in England, paintings of horses flourished. This was also the century in which the Thoroughbred was perfected as a breed. This image exaggerates the breed's ideal of long slim limbs and neck with a fine head.

This postcard image was adapted from the original hand-colored copperplate engraving from George Shaw and Frederick Nodder comes from 'The Naturalist's Miscellany' which was printed in the 1700s.
